Actually Organic Argan Oil

Winter is awful on my skin. Normally I’ll use lotions but for some reason they don’t help my dry, cracking skin during cold weather months. The timing was perfect when Actually Organic asked me to review their Argan Oil. I’ve been using it for a couple of weeks now and it has been a life saver for my skin. Even my husband is using it! He’s always believed in natural remedies. His first question about this oil was, “Is this pure Argan Oil?” The answer: Yes it is!

What is Argan oil?

Argan oil is made from the fruit of the Argan trees in south-west Morocco.  These type of trees have been around for thousands of years. Argan oil products are a large source of income for Moroccans.

The traditional method of extraction takes long hours of labor all done by hand. The fruit shells are opened, roasted, cooled then it’s ground down to a thick, oily paste. Next, they mix the paste with warm water, kneaded by hand and the oil is filtered.

How is it used?

There are many uses for Argan oil. It’s high in Vitamin A, Vitamin E and unsaturated fatty acids which makes it a great skin, nails and hair moisturizer as well as for accompanying food like bread and dressings. It can also promote hair and nail growth. You can even use it to treat skin irritations and acne.

Argan oil is now widely used in beauty products such as soap, shampoo, conditioners, lotions and more.

Actually Organic

Actually Organic’s beauty products are 100% free of harmful chemicals with no hidden or mystery ingredients. Their Argan oil feels super light on my skin. It doesn’t have a heavy, greasy feeling and it has a pleasantly light scent. I like how the oil melts into my skin, it’s very soothing. This oil is for external use, do not cook or eat it.

Tip: For really dry winter skin, apply the oil all over your hands at bedtime and wear gloves or mittens. This will help trap moisture into your skin while you sleep so you’ll wake up with soft, nourished hands!

Actually Organic’s Argan oil is available on Amazon in 1, 2 and 4 fl. Oz. bottles.

Although this post is sponsored by Actually Organic, my opinions are always my own.
