Lonely Planet Summer Road Trip

Summer is my most favorite time to travel! I think it’s because it brings back memories from my childhood when we road-tripped from the West Coast to visit relatives who live in the South.

In this summer issue of Lonely Planet Magazine, it is all about road trips in America and memorable destinations!

Los Angeles aka “City of Angels” made the Easy Trips list along with Savannah, Vermont’s famous Route 100 and San Juan Skyway in Colorado.

Read about the artisans in the American West and learn about the skillful craftsmanship from cowboy hats to belts and jewelry. If you’re a baseball fan, then you take a trip down memory lane and read baseball fans’ favorite memories.

I was so excited to see the Cyclades featured in this issue’s Great Escape! Nothing is set in stone yet but I’m pretty sure Greece will be our next big trip.

Starting with Athens and ending in beautiful Santorini, I enjoyed the travel tips for this island hopping itinerary.

This issue once again has a tear out ‘Mini Guide’ featuring great bars in New York, a foodie guide to New Orleans, Iceland on a budget and much more!

I also should mention there are beautiful photos, personal experiences and summer travel tips throughout this issue.

In November 2015, Lonely Planet launched their quarterly magazine in the U.S. You can pick up a copy for $5.99 at many retailers including Barnes & Noble, Hudson Booksellers and Whole Foods Market. A digital version is available for Kindle, iPad and Nook for the same price or you can get a 1 year subscription for $8 – don’t miss out!

This issue was kindly given to me by Lonely Planet for review. As always my opinions are my own.
